Community-Engaged Scholarship for Health (CES4Health)
CES4Health was launched by Community-Campus Partnerships for Health (CCPH) in November 2009
as a free online source of peer-reviewed products of community-engaged scholarship. CES4Health widely disseminates high quality products that can improve the health of communities and “count” in the faculty promotion and tenure process.
CES4Health peer reviews, publishes and disseminates products of community-engaged scholarship that are not journal articles – videos, curricula, policy reports, digital stories and online toolkits, for example. CES4Health is free, open access and does not assume copyright for any of the products it publishes.
Every product submitted to CES4Health is reviewed by community and academic experts who participate in a mandatory training to serve as peer reviewers. If the product is published, the Editor sends an email about the publication and the rigorous peer review process to people that authors identify, such as deans, department chairs and supervisors. CES4Health also tracks how many times a product is downloaded and can follow-up with users to find out how it was used – important data that can be included in promotion and tenure dossiers and grant proposals.
Visit CES4Health to search for products, submit products and apply to be a reviewer. The site also contains links to CES4Health webinars, presentations, papers and evaluation reports. Follow the latest CES4Health news on twitter.
